Good morning Lisa,

Sorry we haven't replied sooner but we have been very busy with our new fur baby :o)

She is absolutely wonderful and has adjusted very well to her new home.

Scrappy Doo (our 3 1/2 year pom/pap mix we adopted from the center 3 yrs ago) and her have built an incredible bond that was immediate, she is his honey girl (her new name is Honey, formerly Tina) and she is sweet as honey.

She's learning that the cat (Rascal 10 yrs and old 13 lbs/Honey is just about 9lbs) is not a dog and that he doesn't want to play like Scrappy does! Scrappy is learning that he has to share his toys..He is working on that and doing well ;o)

She is very intelligent, and knows that there are rules.  I taught her sit in 2 days, when I go to the cookie jar to get her and Scrappy a cookie she sits before I open the jar.

She also understands that her crate (her bed) is a good thing. When I'm just about ready to leave for work, she knows it's time for bed and goes right in. When I come home for lunch to let her out she is very excited and I tell to her sit (I want her to be calm before I let her out) and she knows it and listens.

Our 3 yr old granddaughter who visits often has also built an immediate bond with Honey and believe me Honey loves her right back. I have included an absolutely beautiful pic that says it all!!!

We recently had to let our 12 yr old rotti go and Honey has been a huge part in helping our hearts heal!!

I know you can't post two many pics, however I thought you would enjoy some pics and it's to hard for me to decide on just one. You will have to choose what you would like to post. Please enjoy the attached pics :o)

She is just absolutely perfect and we are very very happy to have her as a part of our family!!

We thank you with all our heart for Honey, our wonder little miracle to our life!!

Sincerely,

The Smith family

Abby is settling in very well here-she loves her new toy mouse, and using her litter box with no problem. We all love her! She had a busy day playing! :)

hi

Back in january we came in to adopt a dog and found bailey.

He was very thin at the time due to having been left alone and starved. But he had a great additude and we took to him right away.

As an adult I have never had a dog before and wasnt sure what to expect.....and my whole life changed. We had to worry about what to do with him if we had to go somewhere and i found myself not wanting to leave him ever.

Now i really dont know what i would do with out bailey....he is my everything and i love him as if he were my own child. My friends and family say that i spoil him too much....and i guess they are right about that....but i cant not spoil him....he sleeps on our bed every night and has only knocked me off a hundred times or so lol but i wouldnt have it any other way.

I would like to thank Tessa for helping us with finding bailey. Tessa is the best. She is so good with the animals and is so knowledgable. I hope that she will stay working there forever and keep helping people to find their animal soulmates.

Anyway....thank you TJO......we couldnt be happier

P.S. as you can see bailey is no longer skinny..lol

Hi, this is Lacy we adopted her 7 years ago.  She was left in a dumpster as a puppy, she was so sickly and nervous when we got her, we gave her vitamins and lots of treats and now look at her….. she is a very happy!  She is a wonderful part of our family.  Thanks TJ O’connor for doing what you do for animals!!

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that Juno (now named Malcolm) has adjusted beautifully to life in my home. Angus (my other dog) loves his new buddy so much that he sleeps outside Malcolm's crate at night waiting for my husband to let Malcolm out in the morning. Malcolm is great with my cats as well. I have enclosed a picture of the pups "helping" me with dinner after a long day of play. Take care, Alison Abare

Well she has settled in very well... gained some weight. ( weights 35 lbs. ish)
She is very much a lap dog..well she tries to be....
no problem with the cats...or Zeke!

Hi there!

I just wanted to let you know that Kody is doing very well! He really enjoyed his trip to Nova Scotia in September (see photos).

Kody is such a sweetheart - a very special dog. I'm so happy that we found each other - I guess it was just meant to be!

Thank you again for saving Kody!

Hello to all the nice people at the TJ O'Connor Adoption Center!

When I was at your shelter a few months back you knew me by Chunk, Hazel, or Helen. My new mom thought Chunk was really cute (like me!) so she still calls me Chunk, or Chunk-a-Monk, or Chunky Monkey. I have lost a few pounds thanks to my diet dog food and by happily gulping my glucosamine treats I am quite spritely. Food is still my favorite thing and when it's feeding time I feel obligated to show my gratitude by putting on a hoppy skippy dance show in the kitchen so Mom knows I appreciate the vittles! Thanks for the recent call about the spay clinic but Mom already got me "fixed" and while I was under they took all of my rotten teeth (there were a lot!) so now my breath is sweet and my mouth doesn't hurt at all. I get along great with the dogs and cats in the house and love walking with my dog pals in the woods where we live... lots of stuff to sniff and roll in! I am pretty good (for an old gal) with the housetraining but I don't have to worry about "holding it" while Mom's at work because this guy Michael comes and takes us for walks and he thinks I am adorable! Actually, everyone says I am the sweetest thing! I have attached a few pictures of me lounging and rolling in the meadow behind the house. I just wanted to say "thank you" and let you know how happy and healthy I am!

Best Wishes!

Chunk the Beagle

Thanks TJO!!!!!!!  Libby is a sweetie. She loves bubble baths and playing in puddles!  Bailey is being a good big sister and is showing her the ropes, they are getting along fine.    Love you guys ~Cyndi

Hello!

I wanted to let you know that Angus (now named Dernier) adjusted wonderfully to life in my home; he brings joy to my husband and me.   We have no children living with us and Dernier is a beautiful addition to our family.
